The Cave Creek Utilities Department
The Utilities Department manages the drinking water supply for the Town of Cave Creek. In addition, the utilities department owns and manages the Desert Hills Water System which supplies drinking water to portions of unincorporated Maricopa County.
The Utilities Department also manages the sanitary sewer system and wastewater treatment plant for the Town of Cave Creek.
Integrated Utility Master Plan
At the November 18, 2024, meeting, Town Council adopted a new Integrated Utility Master Plan as the planning framework for managing and improving the Town’s utility systems. The Integrated Master Plan evaluated the existing water, wastewater and reclaimed water systems to ensure the Town is properly prepared for future growth, supply challenges and regulatory changes. The plan also looks for ways to improve system performance and address pending water resource issues.

Water Quality Reports
A Water Quality Report, also known as a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR)or Drinking Water Quality Report, provides essential information about the quality of your drinking water. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) requires every community water supplier to provide a CCR to its customers. Each community water system must prepare and distribute an annual water quality report that summarizes information about the source water, detected contaminants, compliance, and educational material.
