Emergency Fire and Medical Protection is available to all properties located within the Town Limits of Cave Creek as a result of an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Town and the Daisy Mountain Fire Department. This agreement went into effect on January 3rd, 2022 and has also allowed Cave Creek to become a participant in the greater Regional Automatic Aid Dispatch and Response System. There are no subscription or additional fees to the residents or local businesses for this service. This was because the Town is able to use the income received from local sales tax and state shared revenue to support this new general fund service.
At approximately 70-75% of the total responses of our local fire crews, Emergency Medical calls (EMS) are easily our most requested service. Response for fall incidents are easily the most common type of request for service. So, please be careful and take the time to address any fall or trip hazards on your property and/or in your home.
It is also important to recognize that the entire Town of Cave Creek is located in an Urban/Wildfire Interface Zone. This is a result of our desire to build homes closer to the natural environment. Also contributing to this is the abundant native plant life in the upper Sonoran Desert, expansion of invasive weeds, and the significant amount of open space in and around our town properties. Know what you can do to help address and reduce this risk.
As an additional service, a Town representative is available to conduct a free defensible space evaluation of your home and/or property to help reduce the threats from a wildland fire incident.
Call the Town’s main number at phone: 480-488-6600 for assistance or with any additional questions.
