Roadwork Announcement: October 4th Cave Creek Road Micro-Surfacing Project Underway. Duration: 2 – 4 weeks.
The Town of Cave Creek is completing a microsurface overlay installation on Cave Creek Rd which will continue on October 4th and cause roadway disturbances. Much of the roadwork will be conducted at night. Please be aware that traffic lane restrictions will be present during the course of the project which is anticipated to last 2 - 4 weeks.
The project boundaries will consist of all northbound and southbound lanes, including turning bays along Cave Creek Rd. The boundaries of the project are approximately 200 feet north of Sentinel Rock Rd to Spur Cross Rd (approximately 69,202 SY). The project will consist of surface preparation, application of a Maricopa Association of Governments specified slurry seal material, utility adjustment, and reapplication of pavement lines and markers.
October 4th and October 5th: Removing lines in road and surface preparation.
October 11th - October 13th (Night Work): Applying slurry seal on roadway from 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM
October 13th - October 15th: Temporary striping applied.
Week of October 18th: Manhole and valve adjustments.
Mid-November (30 days after completion of microsurfacing placement): Final striping.
