The lingering drought along the Colorado River will force cities and towns that depend on the river to use less water in the coming years. Now is the time to start conserving, and Cactus Charlie is asking all school-age children to help spread the word about water conservation by entering the Cactus Charlie Water Conservation Poster Contest.
Use one of the Cactus Charlie cartoons or create your own
Create a slogan that gets people thinking about water conservation
Slogans should be original and appear as advice coming from Cactus Charlie
Any medium is acceptable: crayon, markers, pencils or paints
Poster size should be 11" x 17"
Pick-up poster paper at The Holland Center or use your own
Include your name, grade, school and a parent’s phone # on the back
All posters must be submitted at The Holland Center by 12pm on Friday, April 17, 2026
Awards will be announced on Earth Day, April 22nd
