Fire Service

Emergency Fire and Medical Protection is available to all properties located within the Town Limits of Cave Creek as a result of an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Town and the Daisy Mountain Fire Department. This agreement went into effect on January 3rd, 2022 and has also allowed Cave Creek to become a participant in the greater Regional Automatic Aid Dispatch and Response System.  

There are no subscription or additional fees to the residents or local businesses for this service.  This was because the Town is able to use the income received from local sales tax and state shared revenue to support this new general fund service.   

Cave Creek Town Hall has sent a letter regarding the change of Emergency Fire and Medical Service Provider for Cave Creek to the Arizona Department of Insurance and the Insurance Services Organization Office of Community Fire Protection. 

As an additional service, a Town representative is available to conduct a free defensible space evaluation of your home and/or property to help reduce the threats from a wildland fire incident.

Utilities
Residential utilities within the Town of Cave Creek are supplied by a number of private and public entities. We have provided current contact information for those utilities below.

Electric
Electric service is provided by Arizona Public Service (APS).

Water
Water service is provided by the Town of Cave Creek to most residences and businesses in the Town. The Town also owns and manages the Desert Hills Water System. If you are uncertain whether your residence is connected to the Town’s water system, please contact the Town’s Utility Department at phone 480-488-6620. 

Utilities

Town of Cave Creek Utilities Department manages the drinking water supply for the Town of Cave Creek. In addition, the utilities department owns and manages the Desert Hills Water System which supplies drinking water to portions of unincorporated Maricopa County. The Utilities Department also manages the sanitary sewer system and wastewater treatment plant for the Town of Cave Creek.

Sewer 
Sewer service is provided by the Town of Cave Creek to residences and businesses in the core portion of the Town. If you are uncertain whether your residence is connected to the Town’s sewer system, please contact the Town’s utility department at phone 480-488-6620.

Garbage
Garbage pick-up is provided by several companies, so residents need to contact their chosen service provider to establish service or for service questions.

Recycling
Several of the waste pickup providers listed above offer curbside recycling. The Maricopa County Transfer Station located at 3955 E. Carefree Hwy also accepts specific categories of items for recycling. Fees may apply.
