Public Works

The Public Works Department is responsible for maintenance of Town property including dedicated streets, rights-of-way and sewer lines. This includes maintenance of paved roadways, grading and dust control on unpaved public roadways, sewer line and manhole maintenance, median and landscape maintenance of Town property and sign maintenance.

Currently, the department has been directed by Town Council to apply double chip seal to unpaved public roadways every year as the Town’s budget allows. This directive will reduce our cost of road maintenance and will further bring the Town into compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency’s PM-10 dust control standards. Presently, the Town has approximately 3 miles of unpaved public roads left to seal out of total of approximately 90 miles of public roadways.
